Intro
I just bought myself a 360 and had a great time evaluating and here's my opinion on the whole matter. MY OPINION. I will try as hard as I can, not to be bias, for I'm going to discuss some of the flaws and that I noticed in the system also the things that I really liked from the system that can make it a buy for what you want out of a console. I WILL NOT MAKE REFERENCE TO OR COMPARE WITH OTHER COMPETING SYSTEMS. People should know what the console is capable of and what they are limited too before they buy a console. I will start with the cons.
The Cons
No Wifi: Though a Premium model ($349.99) is Xbox Live ready out of the box, none of the consoles come with built in Wifi capabilities. This is a major downside for people who do not have an Internet connection near their TV. In my opinion, I think a true next gen console should have Wifi built in, especial if the console's online network is the largest and most successful (Xbox Live). Another major downside is that the only Wifi adapter available for the system will have you coughing up $99.99, not only that but the unit itself is very bulky. This large antenna that hooks up to the back of the console is visible from the front.
Disc Tray: Okay, let me put it this way, remember back in the day when you would have to wait two minutes for a disc to come out and sometimes you would scratch the disc putting it on to the tray, in some cases the tray would get jammed and there was no way to get it out. I hated that about last gen consoles and guess what Microsoft brought back, that damn Disc Tray! I've had some cases with my own 360 that would have me pressing the eject button more than five times sometimes even the tray would get stuck forcing me to tug out the tray with my hands, not fun.
DVD Only: Now this is here is a debatable subject. On one side of the argument, Size dosen't matter its how the developers choose to compress their files of the game onto a DVD. A good example of a this would be Gears of War. Another argument can be that games being made on a DVD can cost less for developers which would attract more developers to make games on the 360. But in my opinion is how long will the Xbox be the superior console, how long will it be until games on the 360 wold have to come out with multiple DVDs. Look at the Dreamcast, It started out its gen with a CD drive, it couldn't keep up with technology because the PS2, GC, & Xbox disc could hold more than a standard CD could. Blue Dragon came out with multiple DVDs and lately there has been rumors about GTA IV and PGR4 development problems on how to fit their games on a Xbox DVD.

Microsoft's (MSFT) Xbox 360, on the other hand, is a veritable power hog, sucking down 194 watts, rivaling Takahashi's 42-inch plasma TV. The Sony (SNE) PlayStation 3 wasn't much better, guzzling 171 watts
